About Us
The City of Cedarcrest derives its name from Cedarcrest Rd, the main thoroughfare through the proposed city. Before 2000, the Cedarcrest area was largely undeveloped, primarily serving as farmland and for outdoor recreation. The Paulding County Sports Club once held hunting rights to thousands of acres of land, now situated within the proposed City of Cedarcrest area. In the 1950s, North Paulding County played a significant role in whitetail deer restocking efforts. Presently, Cedarcrest thrives with developed communities, hosting households of both young families and active adults. It stands out from neighboring areas, with notable anchors like Bentwater, Governors Towne Club, and Seven Hills. Did you know that our residents are more likely to hold a college degree, enjoy a higher income, and own their homes?
The City of Cedarcrest - Uniquely Better
We use the term "City-hood," signifying our control over matters that impact our community, including architectural control, public safety, and parks and recreation. This encompasses responsibilities such as handling building permits, adhering to local ordinances, and overseeing liquor sales.

City-Hood Donation
Starting a city isn't easy; it does take funding, and we need your help! You can donate to the City of Cedarcrest by clicking on the blue heart. Alternatively, you can visit a Wells Fargo bank and request to donate to the account of "Citizens for Cedarcrest." We are working on commemorating those who have donated to our foundation. This may include a wall or walkway with donors' names on it.
